Make £5 Grow is a free financial and enterprise education programme targeted at 9-11 year olds created by Virgin Money. Lesson plans, activities and resources are provided through a resource hub, as well as a loan for the pupils to start their own small businesses.
Encouraging children to embrace their entrepreneurial skills, and making them happier about money, will help them succeed later in life! This programme is an engaging project for primary school pupils designed to help kids draw out their enterprising skills, along with equipping them with important financial knowledge.
It’s perfect for cross-curricular topic work and supports core programmes of study in Maths (numbers) English (persuasive writing, report writing, presentation skills, role play and more). Whilst designed for 9-11 year olds, older and younger children can take part too. As well as an encouragement for community organisations and home schoolers to take part too.
