MyBnk is a leading specialist financial education charity that delivers expert-led money programmes to 5-25-year olds in UK schools and youth organisations – directly, virtually and online. Together with young people, we have created innovative, high impact and high energy workshops that bring money to life.
Here’s some of our latest work across the UK:
- MyBnk are expanding our work in the North West of England and Northern Ireland. We aim to promote financial inclusion and prevent homelessness by supporting young people across the UK to become financially literate and independent. We will soft launch the new Manchester hub at an intimate event for local stakeholders and funders at the start of November. We are also in the early stages of organising a launch event for Northern Ireland.
- We are developing a digital suite of financial education resources to supplement our direct delivery. These will be suitable for use by young people, parents and teachers. We will launch a pilot of these during Money and Pension Service’s Talk Money Week in November. We will also take part in the awareness campaign across our communication channels and through delivering financial education to young people across the UK.
- MyBnk is working on two new pieces of research: on improving referral pathways to our young adult programmes and on the financial education and financial support provided to young people leaving the UK care system.
- We are currently undertaking a pro bono brand refresh project in partnership with an external agency. This will help ensure MyBnk’s brand remains relevant and tailored to our key audiences. You can complete our stakeholder survey here https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/mybnkbrand.
- MyBnk staff members have attended a number of different events recently. Our CEO Leon Ward travelled to Austria to speak at the European Forum about MyBnk’s work and attended roundtables at the treasury. Other events recently attended by MyBnk staff include the Labour and Conservative party conferences, CSJ’s charity networking event, BSA’s Savings Week event and FLIC’s 1st Birthday event.
