The IFW’s first Associate Member

The IFW recently welcomed its first Associate Member. In the interest of supporting and achieving our mission and vision, we collaborate with organisations actively working towards positive changes in the UK’s financial services industry and across financial education generally.

Associate Membership of the Institute is a no-cost affiliation, which is open to non-profit and charitable organisations with an interest in the topic of money and wellbeing, who offer education and support services to those in need.

The first IFW Associate Member is financial education charity RedSTART Educate, which aims to transform the life chances of primary-aged children across the UK through financial education and an understanding of the world of work.

RedSTART’s appointment as our first Associate Member supports the IFW mission of empowering people of all ages to feel safe and confident around money by creating a space for conversation, collaboration and positive change, and is an exciting step towards boosting awareness of the tools crucial to understanding and attaining financial wellbeing.

Sarah Marks, CEO of RedSTART, says: “Through our Change the Game programme, our aim is to develop a solid case and the evidence needed for the UK government on how teaching primary school children about money can be delivered in a sustainable and meaningful way that offers more than just a practical and educational benefit. We’re excited to be collaborating with the IFW in helping get this message across and further promoting conversations around the importance of financial education and financial wellbeing.”
