A money mule is someone who receives stolen money into their bank account and transfers it into another account, keeping some of the cash for themselves. Criminals need money mules to launder the profits of their crimes, and are increasingly targeting young people. Being a money mule is illegal.
The Primary resource follows Stirling and the Secondary resource follows Josh as they both navigate being approached through social media to receive money and put them at risk of being a money mule. The teacher notes include guidance on how these can be delivered sensitively to the young people. These resources include links to PSHE, IT (cyber security), Drama, Art, English and more.
