The CISI Future Foundation launched our first round of grant application windows in 2023 and we received significant interest from a number of charities in the financial literacy education sector.
Following our criteria review and sifting process, several charities were interviewed and further scrutinised with various due diligence checks to ensure that they offered a legitimate service, were sustainable and would have enough engagement with the beneficiaries to improve their financial literacy knowledge and positively impact their daily lives.
As such, we successfully awarded seven UK grants in October 2023 and one international grant in January 2024:

This funding will allow each of the recipients to undertake planned project work of varying type and scale, but with the common purpose of improving financial literacy in diverse communities which have, in various ways, found themselves challenged in acquiring these critical life skills.
The Foundation was established in April 2022 with the objective of promoting education for the public benefit by advancing knowledge and improving skills in financial capacities and capabilities. The Foundation was later awarded charitable status by the Charity Commission in December 2022
The Foundation will be inviting new applications for funding in September 2024 from other deserving UK based organisations whose objectives, ambition and purpose in the field of improving financial literacy match our own.
