Over 950 young people aged 16-24 across the UK who are facing barriers to social mobility have been supported over the last 15 months on the Grid for Good Programme, a career progression programme into the energy sector delivered by Young Enterprise and the next year will see a thousand more participating.
With over 100 YE Grid for Good events delivered and supported by well over a hundred volunteers, engaging with energy sector employees has been crucial to the success of our first year.
This programme is key in making real differences to the life chances of young people by focusing on how the energy sector recruits, supports, trains and develops pathways to promote young talent. Young Enterprise is set to continue and develop the Grid for Good Programme in their second year, creating more positive learner outcomes and supporting young people in accessing careers in the energy sector.
